Engagement at Jamaica Beach

I received a text from Jacob on a Tuesday. He shared with me his game plan to propose to his girl friend Michelle and was eager to have the moment captured for them to remember always. We scheduled a phone call during a time he'd be away so that he could keep it all a surprise. I could hear the pure joy in Jacob's voice when he talked about his future fiancée and the special day he was planning.
Michelle and Jacob met their junior year at Texas A&M University at Galveston. Their friendship began over the course of that summer while both interning for the same company. They found they had a lot in common like, hanging out at the beach, running marathons, and as Jacob put it, "straight up living life to the fullest."
Jacob asked Michelle to marry him on Saturday, February 17 on Jamaica Beach. It was the ring of her dreams from Lindsey Leigh Jewelry (AKA Houston Diamond Girl). A ring she was led on to believe was gone forever, but secretly purchased by Jacob for their future together. The photographs say it all—Michelle was completely taken by surprise and the two of them were over the moon as Michelle said, "YES!"
The surprises didn't stop at the beach. Jacob invited Michelle's parents and siblings, along with his parents and sister to join them to celebrate back at Michelle's family's beach house. With the help of both Moms and families, the beach house was beautifully decorated with the cutest "she said yes" cookie cake, custom napkins and plates, chocolate covered strawberries, and champagne on ice. As Jacob guided Michelle up the stairs to the beach house, the handrails were covered with the couple's photo memories—fave selfies, date nights, travels, grad photos, and more. At the top of the stairs stood their families shouting, "surprise!" And welcoming the couple with heartfelt embraces. There wasn't a dry eye in the house.
Michelle & Jacob's engagement took place at their favorite place and with their favorite people. It doesn't get better than that.
