Darragh Park Wedding

Galveston, TX

Abby and Connor met in college. At the time, the two were dating other people who happened to be roommates. Bumping into each other from time to time, Abby and Connor became friends. It wasn't until later in life when they found each other again and started dating. This past weekend, Abby and Connor chose their love forever. They were surrounded by their immediate family and closest friends as they said, "I do." I enjoyed every minute celebrating and capturing their love.

Pre-ceremony

Located on Jamaica Beach is a beautiful three-story beach house that was perfect for the wedding weekend. Abby got ready with her Mom, two sisters, and maid of honor. Her sister Ariel did her hair, her sister Allison kept us in line and on time and Elizabeth, the mother of the bride, helped Abby with the finishing touches of getting into her custom dress and showering her with love.

Ceremony

Nestled in the East End Historic District of Galveston is the gorgeous Darragh Park. An intricate black iron gazebo and fence stake the park, with a well manicured garden setting the grounds. With adorning grandparents, family, and friends as witnesses, Abby's father walked her down the aisle and the couple was married in the afternoon on Sunday, April 2.

Portraits

Abby and Connor take the cake for the most unique husband and wife portrait request I've ever received. Both avid fishers, they dreamed of having portraits taken of them fishing in Galveston on their wedding day. Before leaving Darragh Park we did garden portraits of the newlyweds and then headed to the seawall. Connor carried their FishStix fishing rods and Abby and I focused on taking our timeshe was dressed in her full wedding outfit, heels and all! The salty air, cool breeze, and roaring waves splashing the jetty was the perfect setting to capture Abby and Connor's love. They were clearly in their happy place and in their element.

Reception

As a manager of the Number 13 steakhouse in Galveston, Abby said there was no where else they wanted to take their family and friends. The couple booked the upstairs patio that overlooked the marina with sailboats abound and pelicans flying overhead. It was a beautiful intimate reception that included good food and drink, homemade wedding cake by Abby's oldest sister Ariel, and great company to celebrate the marriage of Abby and Connor.
